QR code payments made easy for Rocketbank clients with Smart Engines technologies

Smart Engines have provided Rocketbank clients an opportunity to pay taxes, fines, and utility bills in one click by scanning the QR code using their mobile device. The automated QR capture feature is available for Android users, and allows to process the data in the video stream in real time, thus eliminating the need to enter the details manually..

Rocketbank is a project of QIWI PLC – the leading provider of next generation payment and financial services (NASDAQ: QIWI). Founded in 2012, Rocketbank is a technologically advanced online banking service, which issues, delivers and provides service of bank cards, free of charge. It does not have its own branches and ATMs, all the service being delivered through a mobile application.

The QR capture solution by Smart Engines integrated into Rocketbank’s Android app guarantees high recognition speed and accuracy, even on low-cost smartphones. The list of supported QR code types includes: one-dimensional barcodes (UPC-A, UPC-E, EAN-8, EAN-13, Code 39, Code 93, Code 128) and two-dimensional QR codes (AZTEC, PDF 417, Data Matrix).
