Blockpass IDN Ltd, a provider of digital identity verification for businesses in regulated industries, has integrated a document recognition system from Smart Engines into their app (iOS, Android). The recognition module allows scanning identity documents when creating an online profile, and supports: passports, ID-cards, and driving licenses.
Blockpass is positioned as a fully automated cloud-based comprehensive KYC-as-a-service with no required integration or setup cost. Businesses that use Blockpass gain KYC, AML and Face Match capabilities that are simple, quick, and maintain user privacy and control. Through a one-click compliance gateway, the solution verifies identities of users that perform any activities associated with regulated transactions, such as: buying tokens, or gaining access to the public, financial, insurance services, as well as to third-party providers. The application is used to onboard users to crypto and hybrid trading platforms, including Waves, Ethfinex, or Legacy Trust.
To create a digital profile (also referred to as a unique access key), the user is required to provide their personal data, which can now be acquired automatically and instantly by its extraction from the identity document.
“We are constantly looking for ways to improve the usability of the Blockpass App,” said Blockpass CEO Adam Vaziri. “With the addition of Smart Engines, verifying your identity has never been easier. This great tool allows for seamless addition of identity documents reducing the friction and complexity of completing your KYC.”
The transition to Web 3.0 format, as well as the shift to the omniconnection mode, imposes special requirements on the systems that automate the personal data input in terms of how that data is being stored and processed. Smart Engines technologies allow to reduce the risks associated with data leakage to a minimum, as well as the time required to create an online profile.
