Smart Engines launched two new demo apps for Android and released the Smart Engines SDK 1.10.0

Smart Engines is proud to announce SDK 1.10.0 release along with the launch of two new demo applications for Android: Smart Code Engine and Smart Document Engine. We also have made a major update for Smart Engines demo app and updated the version for iOS as well.

In the latest version, SDK 1.10.0, we have sufficiently reduced total size of Smart ID Engine executable, improved face matching accuracy and have brought a speed improvement of recognition engine initialization and configuration along with it.

Smart Engines SDK 1.10.0 has extended the number of supported documents to 1887 with 8 new types and 18 new subtypes. The number of unique supported templates increased to 2839.

Smart ID Engine 1.10.0:

* Reduced total executable size (up to 25%)
* Improvement of recognition engine initialization and configuration speed
* Significant improved recognition of ID documents of Brazil
* Improved face matching accuracy
* Improvement of recognition accuracy for Latin- and Cyrillic-based fields
* Smart Document Forensics: improved content-based forensic checks for ID documents of France, Germany

* New ID document types added, which were not supported previously:
  – Isle of Man driving licence
  – Greenland driving licence
  – Cayman Islands driving licence
  – Ghana voter card
  – Grenada residence permit
  – Madagascar residence permit
  – Nepal driving licence
  – Philippines residence permit
  – Turks and Caicos Islands ID card

* New document subtypes added:
  – Australia ID card
  – Switzerland residence permit
  – Democratic Republic of the Congo driving licence
  – Colombia ID card
  – Dominican Republic passport
  – France driving licence
  – UK driving licence
  – UK provisional driving licence
  – Georgia ID card
  – Greece driving licence
  – India driving licence

  – Mexico ID card

  – USA driving licence (Nebraska)
  – USA firearm permit (Florida, Illinois, Oregon, Utah)

* Improved machine-readable zone (MRZ) recognition accuracy

Smart Document Engine 1.10.0:

* Improved recognition accuracy of Latin- and Cyrillic-based text fields
* Improved document identification and recognition speed

  – USA Form 1099
  – USA Form I-9
  – USA Form W-2

* Other fixes and improvements.

Smart Engines software solutions perform OCR in real time directly on the end-user device and do not require a network connection, the presence of graphics processors or powerful computing resources on the customer’s side.
