The problem of comparing digitized (scanned) images is described. The paper provides a theoretical solution of the problem of searching for the parallel transport of a standard image at which its coincidence with the tested image is maximal. Various computational experiments associated with analysis of shifts of binary digitized symbols are described. A constructively computed boundary of the possible shift of one graphic image relative to another and of the real shifts in consideration of the class of binary digitized symbols are compared.
