Automatic patient data entry for mobile medical centres

id documents engine provides efficient, accurate patient data entry into a medical IT system as part of mass testing and vaccinations for COVID-19 and other epidemics.
An automated process helps reduce the spread of infection from queues and waiting areas, but also measurably increases the number of people that can be tested, without the need for additional staff.

How it works

  • A patient arrives at a diagnostic centre or hospital or contacts remotely
  • The medical personnel scans the patient ID card (i.e. passport, driving license, insurance card) using a regular smartphone and the Smart Engines app
  • Patient data is automatically recognised
  • The operator can access patient information, prior testing, and results
  • The medical IT system auto-schedules an appointment (new/follow-up/vaccination)
  • Based on a patient profile, the medical IT system can support decision making by offering a recommendation to the operator (i.e. send patient home or send to a local quarantine station)

Scan, Identify, Track

When a patient undergoes a new medical examination, a unique patient code (QR code) is generated from the scanned patient ID card. This QR code gets printed on a sticker which is then glued to a test tube containing the test sample/vaccine. This process ensures patient tracking and secure, accurate information storage into a medical database for both mobile and stationary medical clinics.
